Grandma's Recipes

We've visited Grandma's Recipes usually 3-4 times a year, portions always plentiful,perfectly cooked and very tasty. Never had a grumpy waitress or an unusually long wait for our meal. We've had everything from breakfast to dinner and appetizers. No complaints here. We'll be back again.

I’ve always had a wonderful dine-in experience here, but my eyes were really opened when I did takeout for the first time tonight. An order for just one person filled up a whole paper bag and styrofoam box for a single dinner. Their portions are generous and the amount of sides you get is astounding, all within an incredibly reasonable price - and leftovers after! Grandma’s Recipes always hits the comfort spot with quality eats.EDIT: 1/26/25 - I got a craving for their crispy, juicy chicken tenders and went back to dine in for the first time in a couple years, hoping things hadn’t changed. Drink, bread, salad, soup, vegetable, potato, and four gigantic chicken tenders. Enough for two meals for under 20. And still amazingly fresh and delicious. Don’t sleep on Grandma’s Recipes.

The fried chicken dinner is delicious! Cooked while you wait (it does take 25 minutes) and hot when you get it! The other stars of the show were the chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles, and the coleslaw. All for under 15. Just go! You'll be happy you did!

The atmosphere is so Warm & Inviting The Waitress was so kind & patient, and didn't make us feel rushed.The FOOD was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL.I took a friend who had never been there before .. First time my husband and I have been to this restaurant. We are not from that area and had to travel to Flint for a doctor's appointment. We have heard how great this restaurant was and known for it's awesome food and menu. Will definitely be back again!!!Very cute and cozy place to dine!!

Service was fast, and the wait staff was polite and stayed on top of everything without being too overbearing. I had the Walleye special. The food was delicious and very well portioned. I definitely will be back. They have a wide variety to choose from with something for everyone.

At first I just left a rating but now that I’m a regular I have to leave more. The service there is always great, if they’re busy you might have to wait but that’s to be expected bc their food is always fresh so it’s worth it. The soup should be world known and I’ve even taken to people who live an hour away. Nancy and her daughter are the best! Everyone there is really so nice. The food-that’s just as awesome! It’s home cooking and the prices are very reasonable for the portions they serve. My favorites are the soup, bacon cheeseburger, and of course the chicken! Love you Grandmas!

Excellent Home cooked meals, with generous helpings. Worth every dollar spent there. Great staff and always gracious.
